Mike has over 14 years experience in supplying third-party professionals to the energy sector. Prior to his current role, he spent 20 years managing engineering and operating groups for Enbridge, Koch and United Gas Pipeline. During his career, he has gained experience in gathering, midstream, transmission (FERC), NGL’s, crude oil, trucking and asphalt. In addition, he has participated in and led several asset integrity due diligence projects from both the acquisition and divestiture perspective. Mike is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering.
Chief Executive Officer
Mike has over 25 years of experience in executive, managerial, and key leadership roles in delivering large projects and capital infrastructure programs, to include planning, development, execution, control and contracting of major international and domestic programs and megaprojects, worldwide. His experience in the energy industry includes VP of Engineering & Construction for several international companies with duties that include detailed engineering design, defining scope of work, as well as construction & safety management.
Chief Operations Officer
Steve has nearly 40 years of experience in the energy industry, ranging from offshore drilling rigs to full EPC projects throughout North America. He has extensive experience developing, engineering, and managing crude oil and natural gas assets. Those assets include pipelines, tank batteries, gas gathering systems, amine treating facilities, and gas processing plants. In his roles as Director of Engineering, Director of Midstream Operations, and VP Engineering, Steve has been successful in developing and managing capital projects ranging from $1M to $650M as well as operations over systems with capacities as high as 250 MMscfd in volume. As he progressed through his career his responsibilities ranged from detailed engineering design, installation of assets, management of as many as 1,500 employees and contractors, asset optimization, and directing Operations. Beginning in 1980 Steve started in the offshore E&P sector then earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1991.
President, Capital Projects
Jeff Whelan has over 30 years experience performing EPC projects for various Fortune 500 industrial customers, midsize organization, federal agencies, and small companies. He has performed four (4) successful Engineering Services start ups including three (3) that were listed during his tenure in ENR top 100 or as the fastest growing companies in their respective market sector. He was the President of Engineering Services for the largest specialty contractor (ranked number 1 in ENR for pipeline and utility) in North America. He was the VP of EPC during the growth period of an 8(a) company that became the fastest growing business recognized by ENR with the successful completion of over 30 delivery orders to support critical infrastructure for the Department of Defense after the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks on 9-11. He grew the staff and infrastructure to support different operations with the US Department of Defense in several foreign military theaters. He also was in executive and management roles for BENHAM and WILLBROS during their largest revenue years managing EPC alliance agreements for some of the largest global Oil and Gas Companies along with major petrochemical customers.
Mr. Whelan obtained his B.S. from Oklahoma State in 1988, is a licensed professional engineer in 24 states, resides on the Industry Advisory Board for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and has been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2005 from the Project Management Institute.
